For Gamers — ASUS ROG Zephyrus G16 ($1,799)

If gaming is serious and non-negotiable, the Zephyrus G16 is the only gaming laptop worth buying in 2026. RTX 5080, 240Hz OLED, surprisingly good battery for a gaming machine. Yes it's $1,799. Yes it's worth it if gaming genuinely matters to you.

For students who game occasionally — buy the MacBook Air M5 instead. It handles casual gaming fine and serves your academic work better.
